Anyone who knows about the Fourth of July in Castine dares not miss it. The day starts early with a 5K race, followed by a children’s costume parade on our town common that looks like it’s out of a Norman Rockwell painting. There are old-fashioned potato sack races, a tug of war, feats of human strength, and a dunking tank for charitable causes. Concerts on the green happen in the afternoon! Join us for dinner in the restaurant which will include our famous barbecue specials. At nightfall there is a concert on the town dock followed by fireworks on the harbor!! For those who enjoy a front row seat there are kayak trips to watch the festivities from the water. The best part of all, you can walk to everything.
A two-night stay at the inn includes a full country breakfast each morning, afternoon refreshments, and use of our inn bikes to explore the town. Join us in our beautiful inn for a Maine 4th of July to remember!
