Fourth of
July in Castine
Anyone who knows about the Fourth of July in Castine dares not miss it. The day starts early with a 5K race, followed by a children’s costume parade on our town common that looks like it’s out of a Norman Rockwell painting. There are old-fashioned potato sack races, a tug of war, feats of human strength, and a dunking tank for charitable causes. Concerts on the green happen in the afternoon, followed by our annual barbeque on the porch! At nightfall there is a concert on the town dock followed by fireworks on the harbor!! For those who enjoy a front row seat there are kayak trips to watch the festivities from the water. The best part of all, you can walk to everything.
A two-night stay at the inn includes a full country breakfast each morning,
dinner for two at our annual BBQ on the 4th, afternoon refreshments, and use of our inn bikes to explore the town.
