June Garden Tour

Late June is a great time to visit, the gardens are in full bloom.  Wild lupines are in their glory covering the fields with shades of mauve, lavender and purple.  A two night stay at the Inn includes a full country breakfast each morning, a dinner for two in our restaurant one evening, afternoon refreshments, use of our inn bikes to explore the town, a flower bouquet from our garden in your room and a map to the best gardens in the area to explore, starting with ours!

Fourth of July in Castine

Anyone who knows about the Fourth of July in Castine dares not miss it.  The day starts early with a 5K race followed by a children’s costume parade on our town common that looks like it’s out of a Norman Rockwell painting.  There are old fashion potato sack races, a tug of war, feats of human strength and a dunking tank for charitable causes.  Concerts on the green happen in the afternoon followed by our annual Barbeque on the porch!  At nightfall there is a concert on the town dock followed by fireworks on the harbor!!  For those who enjoy a front row seat there are kayak trips to watch the festivities from the water. The best part of all, you can walk to everything.
